We just got back from a quick and fun trip to Muscatine. We went for Candi's birthday party/Water for Christmas fundraiser today and it was a good time had by all. Bode stayed at Cassie's last night so we could go to another holiday party with Larry and Candi and he probably had as much fun as we did! Cassie, Candi and Jennie were busy getting the party today ready by decorating...not so much my thing, so I contributed by watching children. That was a hoot! Brigg, Lani, Ayla and Bode were very good, especially considering Bode did not have a nap today. A little UNO and cereal and they were happy, a pretty easy crowd to please.
We did drive home through a little bad weather, but by Iowa City we were cruising again. We watched the temp go down about a degree every 10 minutes. We left for the party at 4, it was 32 degrees. Left Muscatine at 7, it was 21 degrees. We got home at 9:30, 3 degrees!
Glad to be home, feeling very fortunate for great family and fun times together. Thanks for everything guys!
