Clay County Fair

What a successful trip to Spencer! We went to the Clay County Fair on Saturday and although it was a dreary day we didn't get rained on. Bode stayed awake and good the whole time. We saw all the different animals, rode rides, ate junk food, fed camels and saw the coolest model train ever. Bode wasn't in his stroller once! Your arms sore yet mom? He was a little tuckered when he got back to Grandma and Grandpa's and took a 3 hour nap! It was so fun and he was telling me on the way home that cousins' gotta come next time.
We got home pretty early this afternoon and Stew cooked up his first chili of the fall and what a great day for it. Al, Josie, Becky, and Corky, Juile and Drake came over for some and to play and watch football. Fun weekend and back to reality tomorrow. Hopefully the week will go fast as we have a big weekend with the Stewart's next weekend. Hope everyone found something to do during the cool, wet weekend.

from the photos, it looks as though it may be LARRY's arms that are sore!! :)

Ya, I was just trying to sum up Larry's role in the day.... Bode is throwing himself back pretty good in the one and I'm not sure about the one with Bode reaching for his face, is he feeding a bite to grandpa or just giving him some gentle love?!? :-) Looks like a great outing, sweet memories, for ALL of you!! :-)

He is kind of a Grandpa's boy. SOmetimes when Larry has him, he won't even come to me! Bode is also into feed people these days, and instead of dropping his food on the floor when he's done, he'll hand me each piece until his tray is clear. He's so tidy!
