We need closure!

Selling and buying a house is too stressful for us. It seems like you are at the mercy of everyone, banks, inspectors, seller/buyer, repair people. When we had our inspection done on this house, there was a leak from the deck to the 3 season porch, not inside the house, mind you. So we said we would have it sealed and repaired. The buyers realtor sent us a pretty snotty email about how they will not be satisfied with a "patch" job and wanted further repair sought out. We just had a professional roofer come out and told us a "patch" job was all we can do aside from replacing our deck which will be thousands of dollars. So now we wait, if they do not accept a repair, then what? Can we afford to spend thousands of dollars on a house that will not even be ours in 5 weeks, not so much. So we are hoping that the professional estimate from a roofer will be good enough.
We will not really be at ease, until July 30th when we are either sitting in our new home, or our old because the sale fell thru. So much uncertainty. Trying to remain calm and know that whatever will be, will be.

Waiting for an update. I just about expressed my lack of love for inspectors and then remembered Paul is one! Ha! He is the exception. Hope your buyers are cooperative. I am sure everything will work out. Love your "new" home! Gale

We got word on Friday that they will accept the repair we can afford! Great news.
