Bode is 7!

Bode turned 7 yesterday!  I can hardly believe it, it seems he just keeps getting older and bigger and I can't slow it down or stop it.
He has had a GREAT year.  He was an amazing 1st grader.  Such a good writer and reader and really grew in school this year.  He had a great teacher, Ms. Gilmore, who is also a personal friend and great person.
Bode is still loving basketball, probably his favorite sport right now.  He played this year and was one of the older and better shooters and even started watching games on TV.  We took a break from Judo before our move and may or may not pick that up later.  He is wanting to give soccer a try in the fall.  And of course his swimming is still awesome, may get him into something at the Y since we no longer have a pool in the backyard.
He has handled our move back to Iowa pretty well.  Some adjusting as expected, but he really does love being around his family.  He misses his friends from Florida and talks about them a lot.  I know when school starts he'll be in heaven being around kids his own age and will make friends in no time.
Bode is still an amazing brother.  He has his moments and gets annoyed and impatient with Boone, but he also plays with him and includes him more often than not.  Boone idolizes him and just wants to be doing everything Bode is.

We love you so much, and are so proud of the BIG boy you are becoming.  You are so fun and easy to be around.  You are truly a joy and our favorite 7 year old!  We are so excited to see what this year brings for you and our family.  We know whatever changes lie ahead, you will take in stride.  Happy Birthday!
