Afternoon as a couple

Yesterday Stew got back from his trip to Iowa.  His flight came in at 11:45, so I took off and went to get him...by myself.  The kids were in school.  We stopped and had lunch, shopped a little at the outlet mall, and had the whole ride to Arcadia of uninterrupted adult conversation.  It was wonderful!  Sometimes it is really nice to get to spend time together just as a couple.  We'll get a sitter and go out on a date every now and then,  but for some reason having a seemingly normal day without our kids seemed kind of special.
