Mortimer

Mortimer is a stuffed moose at preschool that the kids get to bring home on the weekends. They draw a name every Friday, and then whoever's name gets called gets to take him home. You are suppoesed to take him places, take pictures and write what you do with him over the weekend. Well...Bode has been waiting for 16 weeks to get him (there are 18 kids in his class). At first when he didn't get him he was kind of upset, then after about 5 kids had their turn he was fine. Well last week when he didn't get him, Bode cried, he was so upset. So his teachers told him that if he got it next time, he would be able to have it over Christmas vacation, because next week only the full time kids come, and the one other little boy that hasn't had a turn is a part time kid and won't be there. He got it! He is so excited and we have been dragging Mortimer all over this weekend, and he is convinced he is coming to Iowa with us next week. We'll see if there is room in the suitcase, but he is convinced he will love the snow because he is a moose! I mean he is 4, how does he know that?
