Moving in the right direction

So after Wednesday, not a great day (but a good night with small group and prayer)...things have started to improve.  I don't know if Bode's conscience got the better of him, the consequences started working, or what, but he has been making better choices.  He is gaining ground and earning back some privileges.
So why as a parent, do you always 2nd guess your methods?  Is it because you feel that everyone judges you, their actions are a direct reflection of you, or because you are responsible for making this child a good person?  It's a lot of pressure and  it is hardest role there is.  As bad as you want it to be easy, they push and challenge you.  I love my kids so much and believe in them more than anything, that is why it is hard when they are difficult and easy when they are great.  I'll take more easy, please!

Ok... let's try this again.... I said earlier, YES, this parenting thing is HARD! Just as God, our father (parent) wants for us as His children to honor and respect Him, we let Him down(make bad choices) and do not do as he commands and He loves us more than anyone in this world...beyond our comprehension. We as parents love our children and how much do they disappoint?!? We are ALL God's creation, created to be a certain way and to do as He intended for His purpose but it is a process, one that takes a lifetime actually... problem being, we none of us know just how long this earthly life is...but if we love Him and believe in Him and get our instructions from the One who loves us most...our rewards in heaven will be more than worth the bumps and bruises and tough times that form us into who we are to become. This life is a stepping stone ...but a breath in comparison to Eternity. SO... my advice to you is to use God's words and wisdom to guide you in your parenting and do not stop praying for your sweet children... :) Love you guys!! Do not worry about anything, instead, pray about EVERYTHING!! :) This is His command...Amen!
